Maze Runner Series

Hello everyone! Thanks for joining me again. I haven't really been reading for pleasure lately because I haven't been able to find any books at the library. :(. But I was able to snag the next book in the Maze Runner trilogy and that's what this post is going to be devoted to.

So, like I mentioned in my last post, I started reading the Maze Runner trilogy to fill the terrible void that Hunger Games left.  I started the first book a while back and I read it in a couple of days.  With school and the baby, that is fast for me right now!  I couldn't put it down.  I've since been scouring the shelves at the library for the next in the series.  I went this past weekend and happened to see it on a display shelf just as we were leaving.  It was fate!

The next book in the series is called The Scorch Trials.  This book is a great continuation.  It starts off explaining where they are and doing a short recap about what happened in the maze.  It then launches the reader directly into the next obstacle the children have to face and all of the challenges that go along with that.  There are many twists and turns in the book and you're not sure who to believe.  The ending makes me want to run out and get the next book (although, I checked and it's not at the library).  If the third book is anything like the first two, I will be very excited to read it!  This is a series that I definitely recommend.  I know that I recommended it already, but after reading book two, I say go out and get this series in whatever format you like to read books in now.  If you loved the Hunger Games series like I did, then I guarantee you will love the Maze Runner series just as much.
