Well, I hope you have enjoyed my Disney themed post as much as I have writing it. I have just returned back to school so I am going to be getting busier and busier with writing this thesis. I will try to keep this updated as much as possible. Happy reading!

Disney love
Hello again! OK, so I have a confession to make... I am in love with Disney! I know, I know... I am an adult and I shouldn't have this kind of love for it, but I do! The hubby bought me an annual pass to Disneyland this year because I love it so much. One of the many joys is getting to share that love with my wonderful daughter. The look on her face when meeting the characters is priceless. OK, so what does this mean for my recent reading adventures? Well, since I've been on such a Disney kick lately, I decided to read Disney themed books.
The first one I want to share is called The Deadliest Cast Member by Kelly Ryan Johns. This is an adventure story about a terror threat in Disneyland that Jack Duncan must get rid of. It details secret tunnels and a history of Disneyland, including Walt Disney, that every Disney fanatic would love. This book is available as an ebook on Kindle and iTunes. I loved it so much that I read the whole book in one day. It gives a new insider perspective about Disneyland and it really opens your eyes to new details as you walk around the park. I loved this book and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good action story and especially if you love Disney.
The other Disney themed novel I have been reading is the Kingdom Keepers series. The image to the left is the first book. There is currently six books in the series with a seventh that will be released soon. This series is excellent. The kids are DHI's, Disney Hosts, that they created as holograms that are able to guide guests through the Magic Kingdom. Even though this book is set in Disney World, the story is still great. The kids have to stop the Overtakers from taking over the park and the first book immerses the reader in the park through the adventures of the kids. There are a lot of twists and turns and the storyline really makes you want to keep reading to see what happens. I am currently in the middle of the second book in the series so I will keep you all updated on how it turns out.
Well, I hope you have enjoyed my Disney themed post as much as I have writing it. I have just returned back to school so I am going to be getting busier and busier with writing this thesis. I will try to keep this updated as much as possible. Happy reading!

A long, long time...
Hello all my readers! It has been almost a year since I last popped on here and I apologize for not keeping up. I am going to try much harder from now on to keep up on my writing and keeping you all updated on what I have been reading. This past year has been a busy one. The hubby was on deployment and this last semester really kicked my butt. This is why I haven't had a chance to update recently. I am writing my thesis this semester and I am going to use this blog, and my reading, as my break from that stressful project. I hope I can keep up!
So, we left off with my love of series'. I am still reading many series and I have a few to share. As you know, I have been reading The 39 Clues series very adamantly. I am still reading this series and I have read all the books that are currently out and I am waiting on the next book to be released. I still stand by the review I gave before that this series is excellent and I recommend it to everyone.

The other big series that I have read over the absence is the Divergent series by Veronica Roth.
I read all three books, but I just recently finished the third book (as it just came out and I was on the waiting list at the library). This series was excellent. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good series to read, especially if they loved the Hunger Games trilogy. The series is another dystopian novel about a young girl and her journey through the faction society she lives in. The author did a good job of making you fall in love with the characters and wanting to read more to find out what is going to happen to them. I also found out that there is going to be a movie coming out on the first book March 21, 2014. This series was excellent and I was captivated to the very end. Even though I was sad about the ending, I would recommend this to anyone!
Another series I read was the Matched series by Ally Condie. This book is another dystopian society novel (I know, a theme is forming) that chronicles characters through a society that "matches" them with the perfect match, based on a calculated system. The series takes an unexpected turn and you become invested to see what happens to the characters. I liked the series, but I don't think it was as good as the Divergent series or the Hunger Games series.
These are the two major series that I read over my unexpected absence. There were some other small books here and there, but nothing major to report on. I hope to continue reading adamantly and I will bring a new blog update soon. I have a few books that I am on the hold list for at the library, so I will update as soon as those arrive and I read them. Happy reading! :)
