I'm back!

Hello everyone out there!  I know it has been forever and I promised an update, but I never got the time.  I just haven't really been reading a lot to be honest.  Most of it was books for school.  OK, here is what I have been reading.

I think I have given up on the Pretty Little Liars series.  It just wasn't really interesting.  There wasn't really anything that made me want to get the next book and continue, so I haven't been.  I think I am done with this series.

On a brighter note, while I've been gone I read books 7-10 of The 39 Clues series.  This series is still AMAZING!  I've finished book 10 a while ago and I've been trying to get my hands on the next book, but they are always out at my library.  I am going to try to head over there today to see if I can secure it!  This series is one that I highly recommend for upper elementary through adult.  They are entertaining and they have that thing that makes you want to get the next book and see what happens next.

OK, so every since I finished the Hunger Games trilogy, I have been searching for another series to fill it's place.  I think I found it.  I started reading The Maze Runner trilogy by James Dashner   The first book was amazing.  The author does an amazing job at bringing in the reader and making you feel like you are in this horrible situation.  I think that anyone looking to fill the void that the Hunger Games has left should pick up this series and try it out.




One of my guilty pleasures is reading books by Nora Roberts.  I know what you're thinking, romance novels?  I think they are my books that I like to read to escape and just read.  For Christmas, my sister got me the last novel of one of her new series called The Perfect Hope.  This book was from her Inn BoonsBoro series and it finished the series well.  I also haven't read anything new because I was busy rereading a classic series from her called the dream trilogy.  These books have always been a favorite and they don't fit everyone's style, but if they are something that you are into, I highly recommend Nora Roberts.

The last series I want to fill you in on is one that I had to read for school and ended up finishing the series for pleasure.  The first book in the series is called The Uglies by Scott Westerfeld.  This is another dystopian series with some great characters.  The main character is female (yay, girl power!) and the series chronicles her life in this world where they change everyone at 16 with a surgery to make them "pretty".  It is an interesting series and I would definitely recommend it.  The first book is hard to get into and like I said, I had to read the first book for a class and then ended up finishing the series on my own.  Definitely something work checking out.
